Northern California Coast - November 14, 2007

My Grandson Tim with the Redwood trees, They are some of the oldest trees, some were alive when Jesus was walking on earth.

John 1:34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
John 1:35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
John 1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!

A Seagull greets us as we came to the ocean. The shore line is beautiful and we stayed at a motel facing the pacific ocean.

John 21:4 But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.
John 21:5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
John 21:6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

The waves crash against the perilous rocks, not a place to be with a boat.

Mark 4:37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
Mark 4:38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Mark 4:40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

To be alone with God on a deserted beach is partly why many come to the ocean. The sound of the waves, the birds busy seeking food, the quiet morning mist. This girl could be someone I knew who received the Lord on the Internet, now away with no contact, but not away from God. God is with us always in all places and circumstances.

Heb 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

The sun sets over the ocean as a pelican flies above. A moment of time when all seemed to come together at the right time. A bonfire ends the day, roasting hot dogs, the wind blowing smoke away and then towards us. Time to get closer to the fire and be warmed. Family, friends, the beach and a bonfire. Will you join me next time?

Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
