Lesser Birds - March 19, 2008

The Lesser Goldfinch flies quickly to a near bye branch, for a quick picture. The darker back is the male of the species. These birds are active, seeking food and a possibly a mate.

1 Cor 12:22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
1 Cor 12:23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
1 Cor 12:24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
1 Cor 12:25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

A White Crowned Sparrow clings to a bush with one foot dangling. Maybe he was injured? Life is beautiful, but not without dangers.

2 Tim 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
2 Tim 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

A Robin turns his head as I make strange noises to get her attention. They are plentiful and not too shy.

Josh 1:7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

High on a distant tree the Acorn Woodpecker is busy pecking. Almost unnoticed, but the camera shows it's beauty. We are not too far from God, that he does not see us. He even knows our hearts.

Psa 33:14 From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.
Psa 33:15 He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.
