Noon day walk

It is always special to me to be able to get away for a walk, even if it is bright noon. Autumn has not yet departed as one tree is in full glory celebrating the season. It is the day after the election of a new president. The nation has been divided and needs to be one nation again, under God. We were a great nation because God is great. May we honor God in our freedoms and celebrate what he has given to us. We have life in Him so let's use what time we have left to honor Him by reaching out to others and exalting the Lord.

John 9:4  I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
John 9:5  As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

A closer look at the beautiful leaves. A closer look is what we all need to do; look closer to Jesus and read the Bible. We are not to argue how things were made by him or how we were chosen in him from the beginning of time. These are not excuses for not telling others the way to salvation and peace. We are commanded to witness for him.

Rom 10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Rom 10:14  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Rom 10:15  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
Rom 10:16  But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
Rom 10:17  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Two tiny leaves for an aged tree shine as banners of God's glory.

 Mine eyes have seen the glory
of the coming of the Lord;
he is trampling out the vintage
where the grapes of wrath are stored;
he hath loosed the fateful lightning
of his terrible swift sword;
his truth is marching on.
Refrain:
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
Glory, glory, hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.

A close view of the underside of a wild grape leaf. The life is in the veins of the leaf as life flows through our blood veins. We are wonderfully made to have fellowship with our creator. He knows our outward self and are "undersides" as well. The Lord searches our hearts and sees our ways.

1Jn 1:3  That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
1Jn 1:4  And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

A small dog rests in her master's lap as two friends ride their horses together at the park. There are times when we must trust and know that we too are secure in the arms of our Lord.

Isa 51:4  Hearken unto me, my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall proceed from me, and I will make my judgment to rest for a light of the people.
Isa 51:5  My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.
Isa 51:6  Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
Isa 51:7  Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.

A fallen leaf finds it's resting place in a still pond. We rest as sheep by the still waters.and yet out of our innermost being flows living waters. Let the Spirit flow out to bless others as you are at peace with your God.

Psa 23:1  A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Psa 23:2  He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
Psa 23:3  He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Psa 23:4  Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Psa 23:5  Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Psa 23:6  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
