Puzzle

The weather is cold and I do not get out to walk much so it is puzzle time. It is said that each of our lives in Christ are part of a bigger puzzle. Each person is a piece of the puzzle. This is similar to the metaphor of being a part of the body of Christ.

Rom 12:4  For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
Rom 12:5  So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
Rom 12:6  Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
Rom 12:7  Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
Rom 12:8  Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

When the individual puzzle pieces get to thinking they are stars, or that they are something, they obscure the clarity of the puzzle. People who serve Christ for their own names sake, do not show the true image of Christ.

Rom 12:3  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Rom 12:9  Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
Rom 12:10  Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;

This green pepper looks like a face, but it is only a pepper.

A different angle of the same pepper shows another face, like a monkey. It is still a pepper. The truth is that there are only two kinds of people, the born again and the natural man. Some of the natural people say they evolved from monkeys. The born again know that God created all.

Gen 1:1  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

A bouquet in a big Christmas ornament was a gift to my wife from her crochet group. She has not been able to crochet for three months with her arm in a sling. Do we take for granted the gifts that the LORD has given to us? Are we unable to use them, or have we purposely let them lay unused? Hopefully each of us will realize our gifts and callings in order to glorify the Lord.

Rom 12:11  Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
Rom 12:12  Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Rom 12:13  Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
Rom 12:14  Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
Rom 12:15  Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Rom 12:16  Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
