Blazing Stars - August 19, 2008

The Great Mullen begins to grow with arms stretched out to glorify the LORD.

1 Chr 16:31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.
1 Chr 16:32 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
1 Chr 16:33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the LORD, because he cometh to judge the earth.
1 Chr 16:34 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.

Water is needed to bring forth life, as the river that flows nearby.

Job 28:10 He cutteth out rivers among the rocks; and his eye seeth every precious thing.Job 28:11 He bindeth the floods from overflowing; and the thing that is hid bringeth he forth to light.

Some plants need little water and survive growing from rocks, in the hottest time of summer. These are the Blazing Stars.

Psa 63:1 A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
Psa 63:2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Psa 63:3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

Old and new together. In life the old people can benefit the young with wisdom from a long life. The young bring life and beauty to the old.

Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Dan 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

A bee holds onto the end of a petal. The delicious pollen is on frail stamens that cannot hold the weight of the bee. He will have to move on if he wants the sweet pollen. We also must seek the honey of God's word and not settle for things that do not satisfy.
Psa 119:103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!Psa 119:104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

Primrose Lane - August 16, 2008

Evening Primroses light the way along the mourning walking trail.

Psa 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Psa 119:106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.

The older flowers resemble octopus tentacles; arms together as in prayer.

1 Pet 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
1 Pet 3:13 And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
1 Pet 3:14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
1 Pet 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

The Great Mullen is tall and stately, yet one appears to be bowing.

Psa 34:2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
Psa 34:3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
Psa 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Psa 34:5 They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.
Psa 34:6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
Psa 34:7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
Psa 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Psa 34:9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

Near the pond a fawn runs from my presence. We run from danger, but we run to the LORD our helper.

Psa 72:12 For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.
Psa 72:13 He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
Psa 72:14 He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.

Trumpet Call - August 6, 2008

A light rain in the night and the smoke is gone from the air; alleluia and praise the LORD.

Exo 20:18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
Exo 20:19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
Exo 20:20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

A Jack rabbit hides in the sticks. Does he hear the roar of the jet at the airport? The jet roar was loud this morning from the airport 4 miles away. What if it was the trump of God?

1 Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1 Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
1 Th 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

The pink rose with a stained glass filter. All creation is holy because the LORD created it.

Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
