September Song - September 30, 2008

A lone leaf hangs dying from a wooden cross. I was drawn to the light coming through it. Jesus is the light of men, who hung on the cross to bring life and light to all who would believe.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

An old tree with ancient arms reaching out to whosoever will see. The message is the same from old, Jesus died for our sins.

Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

These oak tree parasites are a type of mushroom; they are quite large and orange. A parasite feeds from what it is attached to. May we be living trees attached to the vine that is Jesus.

Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified

They resemble a stack of pancakes. Well it is breakfast time and this is my only walk to show in September.
September song: But, it's a long, long time from May to December. And the days grow short when you reach September. When the Autumn weather turns the leaves to flame, one hasn't got time for the waiting game.

John 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
