Randy Returns

A lone goose, a blackbird and a black swallowtail butterfly enjoy the spring day by the park pond. It had been overcast and then the sun appeared on this mid morning day.

Isa 40:25  To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.
Isa 40:26  Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.

I noticed the broken wing, It is Randy. He had swam down the river two months ago and I thought that he would not be returning, but here he is again in this familiar setting.

Psa 35:26  Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.
Psa 35:27  Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
Psa 35:28  And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.

He has memories of adventure, flying with the flock and then going down stream seeking adventure on the river. The lifespan for a Canadian goose if not shot by a hunter, is from 10-25 years. For now Randy belongs in his old familiar pond where his duck friends swim and occasional flocks of geese seeing Randy as a living decoy, they land on the pond. Perhaps he has the gift of hospitality? When people who have this gift leave the church, they are missed. The friendly greeters are needed too.

2Pe 1:4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
2Pe 1:5  And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
2Pe 1:6  And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
2Pe 1:7  And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
2Pe 1:8  For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Mallard ducks swim in the wind ruffled pond doing what ducks do. Have you a calling in God's church? All are important, so be fruitful in good works.

Joh 15:7  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Joh 15:8  Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
Joh 15:9  As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
