The Hidden Rock

A Marsh Marigold

They cover the pool with yellow and green.

Along the banks of the ponds are the Snake Grass or Scouring Rush plant. They appear to be supported by smaller web like grasses.

Near the marshes is the Yellow Flag Iris.

Job 8:11  Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?

This lush leaf plant is the Mullein plant. It will grow to up to six feet high with yellow flowers. These have been used to treat upper respiratory problems. The flowers are used in a tea. To me it is just a bouquet of fuzzy leaves.

Hidden under the Mullein appeared to me to be a dogs play toy ball.

A closer look reveals that it is a painted rock. I looked online for an explanation.

Why are people hiding painted rocks?

If you were to ask most of the people who spend their time painting rocks and hiding them for others to find, they would say it's to bring joy to others.

Maybe you are having a terrible day and an unexpected gift left on the sidewalk will make you smile.

Maybe you've been looking for a sign and there it is!

My thoughts were that the hidden rock was symbolic of Jesus. Our nation was founded on freedoms. The most important freedom to the founders of our nation was freedom of religion. This is a Christian country.

Jesus is the Rock of our foundation. The nation is being torn apart by godless people who are angry and destructive. They need the peace and correction that comes from knowing Jesus, the rock, the Living Stone.

Psa 118:22  The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

A generation has mostly refused Jesus.

Mat 21:42  Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

The Cornerstone of the Living Church, is Jesus Christ.

John 14:27  Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Ask Jesus to reveal himself to you. He removes our evil deeds and gives us peace.
