The LORD Blesses

Bright red leaves on the once green tree appear through the rest home window where my wife has been for six weeks. It is time to bring her home they say, but there will have to be adjustments made for her care. The important thing is that we are cared for by our Lord.

1Pe 5:6  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1Pe 5:7  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

He has cared for Randy, the wounded goose at the park for four years. He has been able to survive just fine.

Mat 6:26  Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

The white Egret becomes a fowl of the air, as he takes flight. He is one of the camera shy birds. He waits patiently at waters edge for a frog or fish, but he likes to dine alone. Humans enjoy fellowship when dining. We dine with our friends and our family.

Rev 3:20  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Rev 3:21  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Only through Jesus, may we call God our Father.

Another bird that resides in the River by the park is the lovely swan. A pair of them are seen swimming and feeding in the light of day. They keep their distance and the Lord provides their food. This bird is not kosher and is listed among the unclean for consumption birds.

Deu 14:12  But these are they of which ye shall not eat: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray
Deu 14:16  The little owl, and the great owl, and the swan,

On the park trail we pass the tree with a sea serpent face. Over the years he has been embellished, even now with a beard. This is a crazy looking sea serpent. David, when fleeing Saul went before the king of Gath pretending to be crazy, to spare his life.

1Sa 21:11  And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands?
1Sa 21:12  And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore afraid of Achish the king of Gath.
1Sa 21:13  And he changed his behaviour before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard.
1Sa 21:14  Then said Achish unto his servants, Lo, ye see the man is mad: wherefore then have ye brought him to me?

I think some of our leaders pretend to be wise, but they too may be crazy, or not loving this country?

In the drought year, still there is a good harvest of persimmons. For this I am thankful. I dry them and freeze the pulp to make persimmon cookies. I also share them with those who love persimmons; some do not care for them. I also would share the Lord with others, but some do not care to hear.

Jer 8:5  Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.

Heb 12:25  See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
Heb 12:26  Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
Heb 12:27  And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Heb 12:28  Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
Heb 12:29  For our God is a consuming fire.
