Clean

The Canadian Goose comes in for a landing feet first.

Joh 13:10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth
not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit:
and ye are clean, but not all.
Joh 13:11 For he knew who should betray him;
therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.

The Geese are baptized in the cleansing water. There
are others words given for cleansing, the water can
mean the word of God.

Joh 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word
which I have spoken unto you.

The Cormorant is a diver. Baptism means being immersed in water.

The squirrel watches and perhaps is thinking
that he too needs cleansing.

He starts with his fluffy tail. The tail helps keep him balanced
when he walks, runs and leaps.
A word for a balanced life is moderation.
We are to be living a consistent life and not falling
by our feelings or into the ways of evil.

Php 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men.
The Lord is at hand.

The outside appears to be clean and white
and the heart is to be clean too.

Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God;
and renew a right spirit within me.

Prayer is necessary for being clean before God too.
Faith in Jesus removes our sins
and when we sin we confess in prayer to the LORD.

1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins,
and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

The Storm

It was a dreary day with minutes of sunshine,
just enough to entice me to the park for a walk.

It began to rain and then to hail.
The White Egret flies to find a safe place. Like the egret,
many are fleeing the storms of life.

Psa 55:8 I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.

He lands in a safe harbor of overhanging trees. Where we hang out is important.
We should avoid places of temptation and trouble.

Mat 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation:
the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Psa 119:114 Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

He waits for the storm to go by, dinner will wait.

John 4:34 Jesus saith unto them,
My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Lev 25:18 Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments,
and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.

The clouds roll by bringing a cold winter wind.
Home is looking good about now.

Psa 105:39 He spread a cloud for a covering;
and fire to give light in the night.

Valentines Day

1Jn 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God;
and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

The trees and shrubs burst forth with blossoms..

Isa 27:6 He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root:
Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.

The almond trees blossom.

Num 17:8 And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

The blackbirds line up together on the power lines in the evening twlight. Are they aware that where they are standing is great power? Are we aware that we are standing on holy Ground?

Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Heb 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Sometimes the best treasures are when we are alone with God. Flocks of squawking birds may be fellowship, but alone with God is peace and power in the Holy Ghost.

Act 3:6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

Companions

It was good to walk a couple of times this week in the warm winter weather we have been blessed with in California. An old telephoto lens was used to get closer to these Canadian geese coming in for a landing at the Oak Street pond.

We cannot always choose our neighbors who may trash our neighborhood. The Blue Heron stands on a tree the beavers chewed off. They were good for shade on a hot summer day.

The LORD is more concerned about saving souls then he is for our personal shade. Our attitude is important.

Jon 4:6 And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd. Jon 4:7 But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered.
Jonah was more concerned for his shady gourd plant then he was for the souls at Nineveh. Look around at the needs and flesh be still.

A courtship of turtles. Each to it's own kind.

Son 1:15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes.

Two is company, three is just a free ride.

Eph 4:28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
