Tranquil Daisies

 (Click on pictures to enlarge)

A Black Swallowtail butterfly and purple daisies form a friendly bond.  They go together in harmony; food for the butterfly and pollination for the flower.

Eph 5:21  Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

We see the glory of the LORD in His creation.

Rom 1:20  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead...

Seven Daisies, the number of completion and perfection. In the book of Revelation is the term  "seven Spirits" referring to the Holy Spirit of God in perfection.

Rev 1:4  John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

The description of the seven Spirits may be found in Isaiah 11:2.

Isa 11:2  And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Near perfection. but one petal is missing. Only Jesus was created perfect and had no sin.

1Jn 3:5  And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

Not all are created looking perfect.

1Sa 16:7  But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

Many growing together is a picture of the Church. The Church are the saved of Christ from all nations and peoples.

Eph 4:11  And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
Eph 4:12  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
Eph 4:13  Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
Eph 4:14  That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
Eph 4:15  But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
Eph 4:16  From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Before the Virus Panic

Click on images to enlarge

Winter was mild in our area and when the first flowers began to bloom it brought hope for a new season of plants to enjoy. Some of the earliest  blooms are the Camellia. Our bush is about 10' by 10' and is covered with these fragile flowers.

Col 1:12  Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Col 1:13  Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Col 1:14  In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Col 1:15  Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:

Another old tree in our yard is a Cherry. A few of the blossoms are within reach but most are high up in a decaying old tree. We used to hang fake owls in the tree to scare away the birds but now they are the only ones who can reach them; they are food for the birds, come and dine.

"Come and dine, " the Master calleth, "Come and dine";
You may feast at Jesus' table all the time;
He Who fed the multitude, turned the water into wine,
To the hungry calleth now, "Come and dine."

A native tree to our area is the Red Bud.  It grows easily and comes up in many places; often where they are not wanted. When looking for meaning in life we are often in places where we do not belong. Some do not want us to ask too many questions. Jesus is the answer to our questions.

John 14:6  Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

These flowering trees, Plum?, are the first to show the approach of Spring. They are a sign to us of things coming.  Sometimes things happen unexpectedly, like the Corona virus.  We have things to do for protection and Jesus is near. Perhaps this will bring about good as people seek God.

Rom 8:24  For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
Rom 8:25  But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Rom 8:26  Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Rom 8:27  And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Rom 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Nectarine blossoms.  After I was born again sixty years ago, these were just so lovely. I was seeing them with new eyes.

2Co 5:17  Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2Co 5:18  And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2Co 5:19  To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation

I almost forgot to include this tree. We call it a tulip tree, but that is not it's name. Maybe you know the name? We do not have to know everything to enjoy the creation of our LORD. New life from dead things is a picture of the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. No fear when we trust in Jesus.

John 11:25  Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
John 11:26  And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
John 11:27  She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
