I love walking on a misty rainy day. Of course it is good to take a camera along to save some of those special views. I see a yellow leaf, like a sinking boat poking through the weed-like cedar needles.
1Ti 1:18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;
1Ti 1:19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:
An old dead leaf looks like a flounder on the ocean bottom, or perhaps like the back of an old mans hand with veins showing?
Zec 8:3 Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.
Zec 8:4 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.
Zec 8:5 And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.
Stems and seeds hold water drops on these colorful leaves.
Psa 133:1 A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
Psa 133:2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
Psa 133:3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.
These fallen Maple leaves are monochrome, lacking color. They are like a black and white picture. That's how I see God's laws they are without compromise. They stand apart from the gray of "your truth, my truth" of todays people. Let his word stand, clear and true, black and white, knowing good from evil.
Psa 119:159 Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness.
Psa 119:160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
Leaves of various colors unite together in harmony.
Eph 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Eph 4:4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
I thought these leaves were a luscious color. Lovely to look at, but not to eat. Everything has it's own beauty and it's own purpose. Let us rejoice in the LORD and his creation that glorifies him.
Gen 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
